FilVer32 is a win32 Java utility for MS JVM that returns Win32 file-version information associated with the file-name provided. If a path is not specified, a search for the file is performed in the following order, and only the first match is returned:

• the current user directory
• the windows system directory,
• the windows directory
• each component of the path environment variable

If a path is specified with the file name, only the exact path provided is searched. The Properties button displays the file properties panel. The Java applet uses the com.ms.util.FileVersionInformation, which extends from Properties, to enumerate the file version key/values. (Click the title text to hide text).
