N-Layer Plane Wave Reflectance vs thickness of any layer
(Copyright M. Gallant 1996, 2001)
This page presents a Java applet for calculating the optical thin film reflectance
of a multi-layer coating as a function of the thickness of any one of the layers. At present,
the number of layers is fixed at 5. The polarization type can be toggled with the
TE/TM button. The parameters can be changed in the textfields. Activating the
CALCULATE button recalculates and replots on the grid. Note that
mouseDown anywhere in the plot field displays the HORIZONTAL coordinate
in the X/Y data window, while mouseUp displays the VERTICAL coordinate.
The fast computation routine is based on Rouard's method.
